Salinger’s timeless classic of one teens’ fraught but inevitable journey into adulthood. The ‘cool cats pre-beat language can seem a little tame and dated by our current standards but the sentiment is timeless.
Holden Caulfield has become an iconic character of the 20th Century, who has been emulated in print and on screen but has never been matched.
If you like Wes Anderson’s films, then you’ll love Catcher in the Rye.
Sharp, wry (no pun intended) and ultimately sad, this is a perfect read for any teen (guy or girl) and for those who remember the pain.
