Product Information

Editor at Caterpillar Books and a book review blogger at Through the Wardrobe, Libby's days are filled with writing, reading and dreaming up new books. Grace Easton was born and raised in London. Having studied at Central Saint Martins, Brighton University and Minneapolis College of Art and Design she is now a freelance illustrator. Using mixed media and collage, she relishes the texture and spontaneity of using physical materials to create her illustrations. Her work has been recognised internationally by the Society of Illustrators New York, Society of Illustration West and the Young Creative Network. Clair graduated in 2014 from Falmouth University, and has been working as a freelance illustrator ever since. She especially loves illustrating for children, hand rendered typography and food illustration. Gary Venn is a freelance illustrator based in New Zealand. He has produced illustrations for children's books and magazines around the world, including many illustrated maps of various far flung places. He is currently completing his first picture book as both author and illustrator. He loves to draw, and did his first major artwork at the age of 2 on the new wallpaper, (so he is told). His style is based on texture, shape and colour. He makes marks and textures using many different mediums, including: pencil, crayon, ink pen, screen-printing ink and scanned items, which are then put together digitally. Ryan studied illustration at the University of Lincoln, England and has worked as an illustrator for the last couple of years since graduating. He lives on the outskirts of the very hilly city of Sheffield, England, with his family and pets and spends most of his time making pictures for books and magazines. Sophie Beer is an award-winning illustrator living in Brisbane. She loves creating bright, fun designs with generous helpings of narrative. Revelling in colour, shape and texture, she lives by one rule: art should never be boring. When she's not illustrating she can usually be found drinking tea, mooning over Joanna Newsom's lyrics and indulging in her other passion - literature. Jen is an artist, designer, and animator. She attended University of the Arts, where she earned herself a fancy degree. She loves to illustrate children's books and is currently living happily ever after in New Jersey with her husband and fluffy puppy, Daisy. Jocelyn Kao is a freelance illustrator from Taiwan. She works on fashion illustration, children's illustration, print and pattern design, fashion design and concept art. She loves travel, walks on streets, tasting local food and exploring different cultures. Her inspiration comes from everywhere, especially art museums and antique stores. Old curiosities always catch her attention and she is a cat and coffee lover. Becca Stadtlander is a freelance illustrator and fine artist, inspired by the beauty of everyday objects, the comforts of home, and the lush colors and landscapes of faroff places. She attended the Maryland Institute College of Art (BFA 2010) and currently lives and works in her hometown of Covington, Kentucky. Her work is featured on stationery, home decor products, editorial publications, young adult, and children's books.
